ever since sony entered the scene, nintendo lost one of the greatest series. an issue of nintendo power lists final fantasy III as the seventh best game on the system.

i have been playing through the game again, and i forgot how awesome it was. nintendo gave final fantasy a home. playstation fanboys think that the franchise belongs to them, but they cant say their system did for the series what nintendo did. there would be no final fantasy without nintendo. hell, there would be no playstation without nintendo.

basically nintendo needs to get this franchise back. with all the money and experience with motion controls that they have attained with the wii, i say they should make the perfect console next generation, and pay for some exclusives. they need to stop playing so nicely.

FF is obviously making its home on the HD twins & PC

i dont care about this gen. next gen or the gen after that, nintendo better start making sure they stay on top and have a hold on key franchises like final fantasy.. its essential. they obviously cant do it this generation.

The only thing I agree with you is that FF 3 was awesome.

I wouldnt rule out getting an official FF on a Nintendo system next generation.

Right now not a chance and I doubt it will be exclusive to Nintendo next gen as well. Hell I doubt any main FF will be exclusive.

They need to have the best graphics next gen before you can even think about Nintendo getting a mainline FF again.

Even if lets say Sony would leave the console scene IMO they would still have to share the FF IP with MS...

why? what if nintendo had the best graphics/controls, millions sold, and microsoft was just trying to cater to the casuals (a demographic that nintendo already has a firm grip on), and as a result, has incredibly low sales? yea im sure square would stick with microsoft at that point.
