I listed the ones I own, and I don't own a Wii, so I won't judge or comment on any Wii platformers. Same with 360, but most of those are multiplat. With the exception of Banjo-Kazooie.

Did you hate super mario galaxy lol?
Anyway one could call metroid prime a platformer in some ways. |
Not at all. Did you hate any of the games on my top five?

Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) Sonic Unleashed (360/PS3/Wii) Super Mario 64 DS (DS) Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters (PSP) My personal top five: 1. Braid |
Henry Hatsworth tops my list pretty easily.
I also really enjoyed Braid.

He left out a lot more DS platformers too.
LittleBigPlanet, no doubt. Most innovative title this gen.
Followed by Super Mario Galaxy.
Prince of Persia, Ratchet and Clank, Banjo Kazooie, Braid and Mirror's Edge all deserve an honorable mention. I can't say much about the handheld platformers though, I haven't really played them.
