Yeah, I think they're being far too generous. What about Red Faction, Prototype, Chronicles of Riddick, Eat Lead, Ghostbusters, UFC, Tiger Woods, Godfather II, and the list goes on.

I think the biggest deal to make of this is that PES, FIFA, SF4, and RE5 are all big games.

The Tomb Raider Underworld sales are a bit surprising since Microsoft had some exclusive arrangements for the game.

     Dave Halverson listed Prince of Persia as his #1 favorite game of '08 and Tomb Raider Underworld as his number 3 favorite game of '08 in Play Magazine's 2008 Year in Review.

Tomb Raider I can sort of see, although the exclusive DLC from MS should have done SOMETHING so it's still puzzling, Prince of Persia though??? I thought the 360 outsold the PS3 version of that game at launch by a fair margin?

Perhaps because the game is called 'Prince of Persia' and Europe is closer to Persia than the US, so the european identify with the game more and um... buy it more, and everyone know Europe frontload less than the US???

Hello guys, new here and just felt like posting.

When talking about these sales you have to consider a few things.

1) Like someone already stated, many people have bought multiple 360s because of failures. I had to do this because my first system was no longer covered by the extended warranty. 2 systems, but only 1 copy of any given game. We will never get any numbers not even ballpark, but many people have had to do this.

2) Piracy is rampant on the 360. Games are literally downloaded by thousands upon thousands of people (way too many to track), and this doesn't include people who buy copies from pirates (how most pirates get their copies). The only way you can play games on a PS3 is by actually purchasing a copy.

3)Many people own PS3s just for BlueRay and nothings else.

What I'm trying to get at, we're never going to have a clear picture of how things really are just by looking at the install base. So arguing about this isn't really going to go anywhere.

The only game that surprises me is Tomb Raider. I bought it and liked it, but I usually hear people ragging on it pretty badly. I think it needed more time for de-bugging and polishing, but I thought it was a good game.
