This guy is a nut. i doubt there will still be a 360 in 2015... They'll have moved on to a new system long before that.
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.
In 2015 would be the last year for 8th gen consoles and start to move for 9th gen consoles.
No console survived that lone. Not even the ones that sell like crazy. If it somhow does reach that far. Than I wonder how the wii would be doing

see i feel, and have been saying as much, that 2012 is when the first consoles of next gen could launch, the earliest they could, i know that seems like a long time, but it is far better for the industry for them to wait, it help publishers, and it will allow all 3 consoles to have major increases in user base. 2015 the 360 could still be on the market, but i expect the 360 to be replaced at latest by 2014 right now. though things could change over the next two years, but since 2007 i have said 2012 makes sence, and ill stick to that ... gen 8 i feel we wont see till 202X though i guess it could be started by new entries in the market durring gen seven then things get all hazy like the start of last gen with the dreamcast which was done in before the cube of the box even really made it to market

looks you have to go and look at the past to know the future. A game console for a new generation
is 5-7 years from the star of last gen. Most announcements for these consoles are a year before
they come out. So in 2011 we will see that the next gen is starting to prepare and start.
2012 is when its in ful gear when all companies release their hardware. Meaning that the 360
will hhave o go through future systems-less support= its fast decline. The ps3 will see
the same fate. The wii will go through the same thing only slower. By the time 2015 comes
the 8th gen systems have doine their part in history. Next year the new systems will come.
by that time the wii will be 90% dead. The other 2 died about 1-2 years after the systems
were released. The wii will be dead by 2017 most likly. If future systems use motion control
like wii. The wii will die even sooner. Maybe in 2013 for all we know

Um...no. Newer technology = longer generation lifecycles. A lot can be achieved through simple Firmware Updates. The technology will last longer, and above all, none of the platforms are doing badly this gen (as in, GameCube or Xbox badly). I wouldn't expect to see a new console until 2012, maybe 2013. I would be surprised if the 9th gen started before 2020. Even that might be a bit early. Sony intends to release the PS9 in 2072. That means 5 consoles in the next 63 years. That's probably exaggerating a bit, but console lifecycles can only get larger.
Also, the PS1 was on the market for nearly 11 years before being discontinued. The PS2 will last even longer. The NES lasted 10 years. The Wii should last for nine years, the PS3 might (if Sony sticks to their ten year plan), the 360 also might. They will all have successors by then, but that doesn't mean they'll drop the old console...Sony discontinued the PS1 6 years after the PS2 launched. Nintendo discontinued the SNES 3 years after the N64 launched, and the NES 4 years after the SNES launched. These were all successful consoles, like every console this gen (yes, they are all successful, they will all cross 50 million units sold).
I was thinking, if Sony releases:
PS4: 2013 8 years
PS5: 2021 10 years
PS6: 2031 13 years
PS7: 2044 14 years
PS8: 2058 14 years
PS9: 2072.
That's technically possible. I still doubt it though.
