Good idea and let get more please

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with the idea behind Friend Codes--it's their execution where things go awry. The idea is to provide a safer online gaming environment that is easy to get onto, but in many ways they have made it even more confusing.

Like others have said, they need to make Friend Codes universal. Some games, like The Conduit, allow you to add people to the specific game's Friend List that are on your console already, but it needs to be taken further.

What I would like to see them do is, even if it doesn't let you have as many communication options as Xbox Live, allow you to have your own unique username. In an effort to avoid profanity and other rude stuff in the names, they could easily just let you make your own combination of thousands of preapproved words.

I don't see any major steps being taken

The only part I really mind is that Friend codes aren't universal (although it's getting better...sorta) and that only two games use voice chat.

I'd also like if the digital games had "sales" once and again, but that ain't happening.

since the friend code mantra has been grinded into dust already, i'll say some other things.


show off the actual sales of wiiware/vc/dsiware games, instead of being so secretive about it.

wii game demo's (you can download the demo to an sd card and play it from there, but the limit might still have to be 40mb.)

some nintendo games to have dlc (such as smash bros or mario cart with dlc charecters and levels)

pikmin 3 to come out F***ING NOW and have online 2p battles and co-op challenges.

I think in general Nintendo needs to take online more seriously....starts how about a better communication device like a mic not a monitoring system

Apart from Universal FC's and an FC channel:

-DLC
-When you hit the "Home" button there should be a Friends List like the PSN.

I agree with having a single friend code rather than game specific... I am glad Nintendo uses a code and doesn't really let you befriend anyone without outside (of gaming) contact... but it is no more safe having a code for each game than it is the single Wii code, and instea just complicates things.

Wii Speak I am not sure on, I think I would prefer a headset, but I don't want to have random people shouting at me so keeping it to friend only talk is fine by me. (perhaps there should be some way of unlocking the ability to talk to randomers so that Nintendo at least can't be blamed if some kid starts learning new swear words)

I don't care about demos, nor do I want DLC, at least I don't want it to be prolific, the odd game maybe.

The rest is really up to the games themselves.

i still say a mic...Wii Speack is a monitoring system..i dont need to be monitored.. they should release both hopefully a third party makes one

I agree that there should only be one friend code to work with everything.  I thought that it was going to be that way from the beginning.  That would make things so much better. Being able to see what your friends are playing would be good too.

Someone mentioned demos, and I think that would be cool. However, I do not want DLC and patches. I want to buy finished games.

3 years and people still cries for FCs? wow.

Maybe it's me but I never found them that bad. I think that gamers just became spoiled and lazy.

and after hearing all the stupid people that insults other people on XBL I really don't want that on my wii.

Besides, why on earth the WINING console who has a online systems that works would imitate THE LOSER? Just doesn't make any sense.
