I really don't think this looks anything close to Final Fantasy 13.
And tri-ace hasn't made a good game in ages. |
I dont hate all guys at the top. Theres plenty of big selling franchises I love.
The last decent FF game I played was 9. Sorry but that's the truth. 10 for me was a struggle to wade through and 12 was abysmal that I didnt bother to finish. FF needs a lift quick. It's stuck in time. To be honest Square were publishing all the other Tri Ace games. So if this one by Sega gets great reviews, I bet square pushed there noses into the other projects.

Seriously, FF X was amazing, and you know that XII was not abysmal, I had great fun with it, and FF does need a quick lift, it was still one of the most anticipated games of E3 this year and the sales of the demo show the games' strength in Japan. Anyway, plenty of the issues with their 2 games were tri-ace's fault for their rubbish pacing, and their idea that you should have several hour dungeons without any save points. And of course, in a huge organistation like SE, the guys doing FF will have little or no contact with the other devs, especially as XIII is being done on an engine which no game has used before.
