Club Nintendo members or family accounts who reach an Elite Gold or Platinum status by June 30, 2009 will be eligible to receive a special reward. If you've reached an elite status, visit Club Nintendo after June 30th for more information as to when these special rewards will be announced. Once these rewards have been announced, you will have limited time to accept the reward, so please check back often. If you have not yet reached an elite status, simply earn more Coins before the Club Nintendo year ends on June 30th. no, the status depends on how much youve earned total, not how much you currently have.

No, the coins for Elite Status are based on how many coins you earn in the year, not how many you have.  Redeeming coins for rewards will not affect your status.

i actually reached elite status with 930 coins. i should have just waited and saved my extra 330 for next year

Im at 600 points, will be able to get around 100 when it resets. Also im saving for the hanafuda cards which shouldn't be too long probally around the time Wii Sports Resort's comes out.

In Japan they have always had a calander as the gold prize and 2 extra too choose from for platinum members (Platinum can also take the calander if they want it). But the best one so far for them has been the Snes CC.
