Forums - Sony - Some retailers skeptical about PSPgo's chances of success

The PSP Go is a huge misfire from Sony when it can least afford one... they are absolutely delusional if they think a $250 handheld will sell during a recession. The PSP game library is also pretty week, compounding their troubles. If retailers are smart, they won't even stock it.

This statement alone makes your entire post to loose all its credibility my friend ;) It would have been an argument in mid 05 maybe but not now ;)

But its true, the pricetag and lack of PSN cards in the EU will hurt the launch of the Go bigtimes... Sony is betting IMO way to much on the apeal of the new design and GTPSP. Why the f**k couldent they just add it a 199$ pricetag?!?!?! That would have been the last reasonable price for an everyday buyer IMO :|

Will PSPgo be releasing alongside Gran Turismo Portable?

Yes it will. And just for that I want a PSP. Not neccessarily PSP Go, but I also like that it's tiny and brighter (more battery life too) and I'm very comfortable with downloads only, so I won't mind paying a premium for the Go if I eventually decide buying one.

I think the Go is compact and shiny enough to offset that :P

So the PSP go! is the Chevy Nova of this generation? No Va in Spanish means 'doesn't go or doesn't run'

In case anyones wondering about my meaning, what im truely implying is that the PSP Go! Name may be a total oxymoron and oxymoron according to the Websters online dictionary means 'A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist.'

Hopefully I've cleared nothing up and you remain even more confused than before.

Surely they will have a PSPgo + GTP bundle.

It will probably sell a Million alone, just for that. If advertised well.
