Not necessarily. Demand may have been met. The shipment could have been just enough.

Er, it seems to be sold out completely in Akihabara, so supply has not met demand. Just enough?!!

This is the proof: http://hatimaki.blog110.fc2.com/blog-entry-1151.html

Sold out everywhere in Akihabara.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

It's only beating one of them, which sold 24k week one. Two other ones we have data for are at 38k and 49k. It won't beat those.

@outlaw

But then you have to remember that Atelier has MULTIPLE games and has a fanbase by now regardless of whether it's niche or not while ARF doesn't.

The Atelier has been on the downward slop lately. Every game has been selling less and less. Luckily, Rorona seems to be reversing the trend a bit.

3 did about 40k In japan. This will do the similar.

That's 'cause used copies hit the shelves within a week in Japan.

My point exactly. The used copies are going to be eating the 2nd week sales.

Rorona bombed. Sony fanboys can claw at ARF and point fingers at their imaginary Wii army all they want, it doesn't change that Atelier is selling worse with each game.

It's actually selling faster than the last ones for the PS2.

But hey! The question is why they keep making those Atelier games when according to some ramdom guy on the internet they aren't making money with them.

So one sold like ass and the other MIGHT sell just as badly? Good job! Who needs facts and logic? This is the internet!
