I really want to play inFamous (but I do not own a PS3), but I am not going to purchase Prototype.

I am going to wait until the PS3's price drops $100. I have no interest in Prototype, because of the "skills/abilities."



I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

The fact that it's multiplatform is significant. The main reason being if you have a PS3 you have to choose between the two games. If you have a only 360 you don't have to choose. If infamous was indeed on x360 it may well have sold better then Prototype. Though I expect inFamous to have better legs then either version.

nothing much, but the larger American 360 userbase helped the game (prototype) defeat Infamous sales. Well if the ps3's total were as close to 180K as of infamous, I wud've considered..and sadly infamous wasn't multiplatform indeed...

some sony fanboys will not even support prototype but hey its their choice. inFamous will always be slightly better than prototype regardless.

That's untrue. Many PS3 owners are interested in Prototype. But if you have 2 sandbox games come out within weeks of each other and you can only get one, it's no surprise that many choose the slightly better game.

Wow, inFamous had to share sales with Protoype on the PS3 and still almost outsold the 360 version of Prototype? I really am surprised the PS3 version sold well also. PS3 owners really got 2 great games.

Proto sales are impressive tbh. I want to see 2nd week sales and see if it keeps the momentum or drops fast, should be real interesting.
