Forums - Website Topics - VGC has much less fanboys, trolls and what not than IGN,Youtube, etc

I will lend that the community here while suffering from some blind bias. Overall is more accepting of other peoples tastes.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

The mods here are perfection

We didn't start the flame war.

This is really true, sometimes I hit up sites like gamespot and IGN just to show myself how good it is here. I mean I enjoy a bunch of different game and happen to own a Wii this gen but that doesn't mean that 360 and PS3 games don't interest me, nor does it mean that I hate all other gamers, etc. etc. and here I can actually have conversations.... I like that (plus we get sales and the game database which I love :)

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

Damn.. I certainly did not expect such a comment from Leo-J... unless the mods stealth-modded it :P. (I still think that fining you 50K was, despite being hilarious somewhat harsh.)

But all in all, it's a good community. Most trolls here are stealth trolls, and the ones that go out guns-a-blazin are generally good for a laugh. The site is growing though so the mods should take care to have a good overview of the site in the future aswell

This site has much more of a tight-knit community that most major gaming sites like IGN, Gamespot or Gametrailers (probably the worst offender of the bunch), so that helps keep things running smoothly around here for the most part. I've noticed that 99% of the people who post hear are generally very friendly and get along well with everyone too.

Also, the mods are much stricter and do a good job of keeping the trolling and flaming to a minimum in general, although I do think they sometimes go overboard with the bans lol.... but then again it does help in keeping potential trolls, flamers, and generally annoying/agitating posters in check.

Plus there's a lack of tolerance for profane/racist/incendiary language on here, unlike GameTrailers or IGN, whose boards and comments sections are akin to having a literary version of Xbox Live lol!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

At least on those websites it's easier to spot the trolls.

Close your eyes and point your finger.

Language is one of the worst things when trying to read a lot of comments on reviews for just about any site. Everyone uses some of thoose words now and then, but when you use it every couple words.  They loose the meaning and just seem silly.

It's not much saying that we're a better community than youtube. Example, VGChartz members will often bring up chartz, and outside resources in their debates. Youtube members will often fail to read the description of the video, which usually tells them such things they will ask in the comments.

But yes, we have gathered quite the intelligent community and I enjoy VGChartz for that reason.

I wouldn't even begin to compare VGChartz to the vast emptiness of logic and reason that is YouTube... YouTube is what AOL was back in its heyday, times a million lol!

At times though, GameTrailers and IGN come pretty close to YouTube levels in terms of trolling, flaming, and generally assinine commenters lol.
