Forums - Sony - Capcom on PS3 Monster Hunter: "Never Say Never"

I know Nintendo fanboys don't wanna hear this but it would be smart for Capcom to release MH3G PS3 + MHP3 PSP with heavy connectivity between the two versions, and as a bonus use the PSEye for PS3 and Go camera for PSP to capture monster and interactivity and stuff, I think it would do extremely well in JP.

Either way MH sucks, I can't believe it's the JP craze, just my opinion.

lulz, you sir win this thread.

yeah~ my 4th platinum trophy! thank you thank you thank you   i need to update my gametag now.

final thought for this thread:

If Capcom can make Lost Planet 2 for PS3/X360, then Capcom is definitely skillful enough to make Monster Hunter for HD consoles. Why won't they do that? Because HD consoles is not as popular in Japan yet and the western gamers just DON'T CARE about Monster Hunter games. That's why Capcom is putting so much resources TRYING to push the Monster Hunter games in the western market. Of course Capcom needs to heavily advertise MH3 Wii in Japan, Capcom can't afford to let MH3 Wii bomb in Japan. Can you imagine if MH3 Wii failed in Japan, what would happen to the western release for this game. Oh yes, don't forget that Capcom and Niinteno will charge you to play co-op for MH3.

This is the evidence that western gamers don't care about MH games: E3, 2009

not even your cat companion can help.....

Lulz, so true, which is why... you are right again!

how come I don't get praises for comments like my first one then? I was so right on the spot there.

lol, chill no one said it was a throw away title, just that well... what wenlan said is quite true, Wii games are easy to port to PSP, thus... why he has a trophy and we dont. :D

btw, that assumption is false, it's not that easy to port Wii games to the PSP because there is much more optimization involved(not to mention shittier looking) whereas the opposite would be true since it is indeed easier to port to the Wii from the PSP.

Excellent point! Except it should be: MH4 PS3 + MHP4 PSP.  Capcom hasn't started milking MH3 yet.

Imagine how big this will be in Japan: playing MHP4 on PSP when you are at work/school, after work/school, you can sync your PSP to your PS3, transfer all the items you collected during the day to your PS3 so you can continuously co-op with your friends online. Japanese gaming market will belong to Monster Hunter/Capcom.

MH doesn't suck. It's a great game and hugely popular in Asia. All I can say is gamers in different region have difference taste for games. They also think FPS sucks.....

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

I just want it on my Wii first.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"
