The developers of Heavy Rain are releasing the Motion Kit Collection, a software library of animations and captured motions, reports DevelopMag.
Quantic Dream says the Motion Kit Collection is “the industry’s first high-end, off-the-shelf solution for real-time 3D character animation.”
Heavy Rain is well-known for its realistic character movement. Many game companies capture their own motions, which is highly expensive. The release of a professional library of captured motions is intended to reduce that cost, which would make the use of motion-captured animations in games more enticing to game developers.

This is pretty interesting..
However it could mean 1 bad thing.. more games with the same animations used.. Even if they're realistic, if 10 games uses the same walk animation.. I think you'd notice XD
Anyways it could also work to save a lot of time for developers which is ofcourse the good thing.
