Also OP, you are not the first nor will you be the last person to think that. I'm sure Sony knows that as well, but obviously something else (PS3 making a loss or maybe focus on profit) is stopping them from doing that.
It seems like now Sony is being insulted by their own fans.
If it were that simple people at Sony Entertainment must be intellectualy challenged not to have done it already.

Ya winning i ment the hd battle and on a side note i don't the playstation motion controler has a chance of catching the will it was a novelty and it seems to be dying off from its blistering sales.
why do anyone need 250gb in a console? even 120gb is way too much(well if you're not a InstallStation3 owner but again, even with installs 120gb is enough to keep a decent amount of games, dlc, movies etc.).
give us ps3 80gb with 2 games(even if they would be from ps3 classics series or somethin) for 300$ or ps3 with software BC, one game and 50-100$ psn card for 400$.
A 120 GB slim version PS3 would backwards compatibility. I would definitely pick that up for $400.

Who the hell really plays more than a few ps2 games anymore really? You bought a next gen system play next gen games. Mabey thats why tie ratios were so low in the first year and a half people were still buying last gen games if sony is going to be succesful they us gamers to buy the new games like killzone so they make a profit like microsoft does with halo and gears.
