You really are the only one here making a big deal out of it. Metacritic? Yeah they are soooooooooooooo reliable.

Seriously, what's up with metacritic? As if getting a large number of reviews and averaging the results could lead to some sort of accurate composite rating.

It was released when PS2 had around 10m install base.

I failed? He's made the comparison of GT4 vs Forza 2, and I just showed him the error in that comparison. That is in no way, shape or form a fail. Besides which, the previous entry in a franchise is the one to compare it to - if anything bringing up the phenomenal success of GT3 next to GT4 just shows that the GT series has lost much of its momentum.

Install base makes hardly any difference when you get to a certain point.

Gran Turismo Prologue sold 385,000 units in Europe first week.
