Forums - Gaming - Let's boycott Ubisoft!

No. Ubisoft is one of the greatest game developers.

I fink they are the best out of the big five (EA, Activision, Take-Two and Ubisoft... damn i forgot who the fifth was).

So many epic games they make.

Assassin's Creed, Far Cry 2, Beyond Good & Evil, Brothers in Arms, Splinter Cell.

Ubisoft is the saviour of the industry. You can always count on them.

Looking forward to --->

Can we do the boycott after assassins creed 2 please.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Yh AC was very repetitive but i have the confidence in them to fix that

First the Prince of Persia, then the new Sam Fisher, now the main character from I am Alive

Ubisoft really have the best looking men in their games!!!

How about no. I'll be buying my first Ubisoft game this gen this christmas

prepare to be disappointed.

I wasn't dissapointed with the first Splinter Cell, so no thanks I think I will anticipate it.

And you like the move towards action the series has taken? Just like Resident Evil has done? Doesn't that kill the entire point of stealth (stay out of sight, taking on enemies head on will get you killed).

I thought the game looked fun so yeah, I do.

its just ubisoft games this gen looks good on trailer but when you play them it gets repetitive and you get bored fast

Far Cry 2 , Assassins Creed , Prince Of Persia , and im pretty sure Assassins creed 2 is going to be the same as seen from the gameplay.

Or perhaps you're just expecting too much out of them...I thoroughly enjoyed Prince of Persia. Assassin's Creed needed some improvements but it wasn't terrible. I'll give you Far Cry 2. Critics like that one but the people who bought it, not so much.

There are far worse gaming companies out there to boycott against besides Ubisoft. Activision, milking the same franchises OVER and OVER and OVER again. Refusing to let go of a game that they got rid of when they merged with Vivendi, and releasing that godawful Crash Bandicoot game last year. I think they should be more of a priority to protest against. Prototype is the only title that's redeeming at all in my opinion about Activision.

dont get me wrong, i did not mean boycott them , i just mean i am Personally NOT going to buy any ubisoft game i will rent them tho and the day i find one that is worth buying i would buy it , im personally looking forward for I Am Alive, cause that one looks unique.

you are also right about them not being the worst, they're is EA and Activision for that.

EA games to me (which is sad actually as i loved them last gen and before it) are not even worth renting. as for Activision they can't stop milking everything , im pretty sure they will release alot of Prototype games and everyone is the slightly the same, perhaps with a female character or some tired excuse of a sequel.

EA in a lot of ways are finally starting to redeem themselves.

Instead of releasing a Burnout every year, they are sticking with Burnout Paradise for now. They're actually making a Need for Speed that looks GOOD of all things. Mirror's Edge and Dead Space were good new IPs last year. Dante's Inferno looks really cool imo. Same with Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Saboteur and a few other games they're working on. It's also a + that they picked up a Tim Shafer game in the process. I dunno. All around, I've been happy with EA for the last year or so...I just hope they keep up doing decent stuff.

and Burnout fans are NOT happy.

The expansions have been nice though...I dunno. It's probably just because I'm used to Paradise over playing the earlier installments. I know a lot of fans aren't too happy with it but it's nice that EA hasn't been milking the franchise to death by releasing 1 every year. Look at how bad Need For Speed got before they rehashed it...

Edit: BUT...they should make a more traditional Burnout game with expansions added to it in my opinion.

Well Burnout Revenge was released in 2005 for the 360, and Paradise 2008, thats a 3 year gap. Both score 89 as well!

I get your point but we should really have Burnout Revenge 2 by now *sniff*
