Graphics won't hurt it leo-J, consistently being far more expensive than the other two (both to develop for, and for consumers to purchase) are what will hurt it. Had they not gone with Cell and blu-ray, and been competitively priced, The playstation brand name would probably do alot to put it ahead. But right now they are hurting the Playstation brand rather than the playstation brand bringing them out of a hole. Forget graphics, never has a system that is far more expensive than it's competitors gone on to win a console race.

Generally the most powerful console is also the most expensive which does not make it easy for it to dominate, simple as that

Article does not say graphics win console wars so stop trying to discredit it with spins. If they already reached a point where they have to make compromises this early its not a good thing.

Till now 360 has had the best "next gen game" but thats quickly coming to an end. PS3 has caught up a bit to fast for comfort, Ut3 and Uncharted are equal to the best 360 has and in 2008 the xbox falls behind the PS3 very fast.

caught up in where? graphics? nope not yet, you wont see a difference for quite a while, the 360 actually has a stronger gpu which is used for graphics, and the ps3 has a more cpu and other things, so yes in a few years ps3 will be a little better looking, not by much.

I can't understand the initial claims that the article was a good read. The author left some thoughts unfinished, his punctation and grammar are suspect, and he has nothing to back up his baseless speculation. It was amaturish at best, and certainly unprofessional, and if he were to turn this in as an essay at the High School level he'd get a poor grade.

Though to counter darkfire, I would pick Sony over MS 99 times out of 100. I don't think it's reasonable for even a Sony fan to consider that a good read when it has as much depth to it as a puddle.

And Lost Tears or Kain, there was absolutely nothing ironic about what Leo said. First, he stated an opinion (though it was presented somewhat like a fact). Second, that opinion is exactly what you should have expected from him. No irony whatsoever.

Overall, the article is trash. It started off with a good concept, as others mentioned, but it didn't even finish that concept off let alone back it up. Maybe the 360 has reached its peak, but I'm certainly not convinced of that fact. I'm not even convinced the article writer has a diploma.
