That fucking sucks. If anything like tht happened in the UK id be so fucking pissed.

You haven't got much to worry about, as it would never happen (or not, at least, for a very long time). Judging from VGChartz numbers and general knowledge, video games are much more important to the UK economy than Germany's (we sell more, and we have a smaller population, I'm also guessing that a lot more video games are actually made in the UK Vs Germany), which the Government would have to consider.

Also, and much more importantly, recent trends in censorship seem to be going the other way. The introduction of the 12A rating a few years back (for those outside of the UK 12A means 12 advisory, films that used to be 12 and older only can now be viewed by anyone as long as they're accompanied by a legal adult (18 years of age)) shows this.

Anecdotally, I seem to have noticed that 15s can get away with a lot more nudity now than they could before, and 12(A)s can get away with a lot more violence.

Very good to know!

This wouldn't really cause a impact on the whole industry, but a HUGE one to the german market.

^Because it's MrBubbles, that's what he does: offends people.

And so what, what does it matter if someone's offended, nothing more comes of it.

This guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAGJpISVERg sums it up pretty well.

thank for the link... very good indeed

But still... some things you do not say!

fucking nazis

how can you dare insulting a whole country.

whether it was fun / attempt of sarcasm or not, this is extremely uneducated, stupid bs talk.

if it was for me, i would give you a permanent ban.

it's people like you who keep all the wounds open.

and why the hell doesn't anybody interfere with this ? come on !

Because most countries don't throw people in jail simply for "hate speech." =P

That kid who shot his parents didn't shoot them because he played Halo, he shot them because they took precious Halo away.

Anyway, like banning alcohol in America, it's not gonna work, it'll just make things worse.

Germany is becoming more and more stupid over the years. It's like almost every political decision they make is an over-reaction against WWII and Hitler.

I'm gonna boycot everything German from now on. Even BMW's lol.

Actually that's a fun idea. Especially in Europe. 19 % of Sweden's imports are from Germany. So let's start to find out if there's actually a way to boycot Germany

How do you get to work?

europe without germany = unstable

think about it bros.....

How can 720p be considered HD when it looks like ugly snow grains on my 22'' screen?

@the two guys above: The same goes for France, Britain, Italy, Poland, etc. The European Union is a single market and is working together way more closely than you guys would imagine, not only in an economic but also in a political way.

Besides that this really misses the point of this thread. If you want to get some facts straight that's ok but you shouldn't overestimate your countries influence.

That being said the law still won't make it These ideas are mainly brought up by the extremely conservative politicians to gain some attention. It's a shame such people are actually getting votes but what shall we do? That's life

Dumb ass laws wind up creating bigger problems indirectly than the original intended consequence was meant to stop.
