You haven't got much to worry about, as it would never happen (or not, at least, for a very long time). Judging from VGChartz numbers and general knowledge, video games are much more important to the UK economy than Germany's (we sell more, and we have a smaller population, I'm also guessing that a lot more video games are actually made in the UK Vs Germany), which the Government would have to consider. Also, and much more importantly, recent trends in censorship seem to be going the other way. The introduction of the 12A rating a few years back (for those outside of the UK 12A means 12 advisory, films that used to be 12 and older only can now be viewed by anyone as long as they're accompanied by a legal adult (18 years of age)) shows this. Anecdotally, I seem to have noticed that 15s can get away with a lot more nudity now than they could before, and 12(A)s can get away with a lot more violence. |
Very good to know!
