Quite close, only a 4k difference between both consoles.
The site also has a quite interesting set of numbers of the weeks after April 20th, this summer could represente a boost for Nintendo with Wii Sports resort and Monster Hunter 3, but they need something big for this holidays. (And honestly I don't think New Super Mario Bros'll be that big)
No Mario is HUUUGE in Japan. NSMB is more than enough to boost it by 30-40k.

But Final Fantasy XIII is more huge and that game is going to be released this Holidays, Probably we'll get a better picture of the console situation in Japan the last week of December.

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

03/10/09 HUGE day in my life:
Ever since the PS3 went on that streak of beating the Wii in Japan, everyone's always said "but the Wii didn't have any notable releases".
From my perspective, that's a negative towards the console, because apparently, games don't matter and people will buy the console regardless
No it means the games already released on the system are enough to keep sales going

Hopefully the Wii will be able to put the PS3 permamently in its rear view mirror over the rest of the year.
