Personally I think it would make sense for sex to be integrated into video games in a tasteful manner. I have my doubts that it will ever happen (its barely happened in movies). I realize this is a bit tangential to the OP.

The west doesnt see adult video games as anything legitimate. My guess is that they are mostly pictures or videos with game elements tacked on. (I dont have much experience with porn games). In japan most of the games are more what are more like chose your own adventures with sex scenes (I have at least looked at H-games).
Porn is in japan is an interesting subject in japan, without making a huge wall of text, it would make for an interesting discussion as long as handled maturely, not tentacles LOL. Anyways porn is visible and can be openly browsed at various open places but people mostly ignore it.
That is a vast over simplication but thats another discussion.

If I recell, there was an article that showed that those living in red states, tend to frequent pornography sites more than those living in Blue states, so conservatives have their own hyprocrisy to deal with.  In addition Hollywood is an industry, an industry which caters to the desires of their audience, so them putting out violent films is beacuse violence sells, same with those love scenes that they put out, it sells, and probably many of those who "consume" those products are conservatives the same conservatives who try and shove their brand of "judeo-chrsitian morality" down our throats, ignoring that their source material, their holy book is one of the most violent and sexually charged books ever.

There's actually quite a few of these, the one problem is that they're only Japanese though.

we arent japan...a game where you are playing a penis-tentacle-monster raping an underage school girl really doesnt have enough people that would buy it over here.
