wii owners should stop trash talkin street fighter IV, it makes you look arrogant. Both SF IV and TVC are good games.

03/10/09 HUGE day in my life:
| famousringo said: Who cares about SF4? Tatsunoko vs. Capcom looks twice as fun. |
you are 100% correct sir
| moondeep said: @ MJC2021, How can you not think Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest are big franchises and that their exclusiveness to the Wii is significant? Did you consider MGS4 significant? The last console DQ (VIII) sold close the same number of units as MGS4. |
@ intro94
Monster Hunter gets a vast majority of its sales from Japan alone so it makes sense to put it on the most popular console in Japan.
Major developers will keep making games for the Wii obviously, but I think enough games have bombed to make them wary. Also they will make games casual gamers will enjoy like rail shooters, sports, and party games.

That made me laugh.

I would much rather have Marvel vs. Capcom and the one we are getting Tatsunoko vs Capcom. However i would give SFIV a go.

Plenty of games have bombed for PS360, does it means we will see party games everywhere?(actually Carnival games is not wii exclusive anymore, so its hitting ps3 soon, you might be right).
Ok let me get this straight. Are you aware than in 2009 wii is getting Twice the amount of core games it didn in 2008?.None is party games, sports, and only 2 are on rails.Im speaking games like Tales of Graces(mayor budget Namco game), Silent Hill Shattered Memories ,Muramasa, LKS,Overlord, The Conduit,Cursed Mountain,Fragile, Arc Rise Fantasia,FF Crystal Bearers and so forth.
BTW: lets ellaborate further on your "Bomb" idea, i find it interesting. No more heroes announced a sequel at around 200k(it hit 400k long time ago too). Its also Suda51`s most succesfull title in his history. Hardly a bomb. Most like the opposite. You dont make sequels for games that "bomb".You dont get the "green light".
Madworld, the so claimed bomb, hit 200k already, in 3 months. Sequel coming?quite probably.
House of the dead 2 and 3: It way passed the million long time ago.
HOTD OK: Its 3 months old? 300k units sold, it already went into profits.
Resident evil 4: Way passed 1. 5 million units.
Call of Duty 3: Well over the million.
Call of Duty WAW: Well over the million and rather quickly, faster than metroid corruption.
Most "mature" wii games have been succesful, getting sequels, and if the market is showing anything, is the absolute opposite of what you say.Companies are announcing more and more games, hey , remember Bethesda?the makers of Fallout 3?Well they announced a mayor wii game, mature. If you want to believe Bethesda will make it onrails, be my guest, but they already said it wont.Bethesda in the past said wii wasnt in their interest. Can you notice the trend? The change of heart?
Red steel getting sequel...
And thats not even getting into non mature games...Teen games like Naruto CON2 sold well over 800k, like its predecesor... Yes,this year is getting a sequel. With online this time.
So please confirm this to me.Moreover, making MORE exclusive games equals just "keep making games" for you?.According to that , when devs thought wii games wouldnt bomb they made less and after their games "bombed" they decided to make sequels and new ips??. So basically you think developers and publishers are charity teams who dont care about sales, which means we are in wonderland.
@ intro94
If you want to boast about 3rd party success you should point out the games people really love on the Wii (based on sales). Raving Rabids, Game Party, Carnival Games, My Sims, High School the Musical, Deca Sports, Hannah Montana, Lego Star Wars (LEGO ANYTHING!), etc. Clearly those are the games the masses want because they sell like hot cakes on the Wii.
The sales of the games you mentioned are modest/poor compared to the numbers of those mega hits! The upcoming titles you mentioned... aren't exactly big releases. Silent Hill hasn't been a big seller in years. Overlord didn't set the charts on fire. The FF coming to the Wii isn't the one people care about. The Tales of franchise isn't that big and JRPG sales have seen a huge decline in sales compared to the past. The rest of the games you mentioned will fade into obscurity.
I'm not denying major developers will continue to support the Wii. The quality of the titles however... aren't quite at par with the HD consoles.
Edit: This helps my argument... and poops on yours.
