I don't mean to be an over-optimist, and this isn't just 'cause I'm a Nintendo Fanboy, but I think that Super Mario Galaxy 2's metascore could possibly be 98, 99, or 100. It's because, first of all, when has Miyamoto let us down? Super Mario Sunshine? That was actually good, metascore was 92 out of 100. But the original Super Mario Galaxy got a metascore of 97 and was the fifth best game on VGChartz's list of top 100 best games of all time. I know it's probable that one critic will be an ass and ruin SMG2's perfect score, but I think it might achieve 98 or 99 (hopefully 100). Either way, Nintendo's gonna make a earthload of money. I think sequels on the same console are at a great disadvantage, because there are always people that don't feel enough change was made or too much was made. It should get at least a solid 95.

Hey guys, maybe it will do the Pikmen to Pikmen 2 thing, and advance it's metascore up a point.

That would be awfully neat, but I just don't see it getting 98... or whatever it would need to get. Few games ever, ever, ever get that high, and many "critics" will deduct from Galaxy by sheer virtue of the fact that it's a "retread", in spite of the fact that it will differentiate itself tremendously.
