Well there are 50m Wiis out there, so 200k (or whatever its at) is pretty awful.

Thats about 1% of all Wii owners that bought that game.

That is a pretty lame argument there.  First, you need to double check your math (it is actually less than 0.5%).

Before you claim this only strengthens your case, I must point out that your argument could be used to make almost any game look horrible.  Take almost any games first or second week sales and then compare it to the install base will almost always result in 'horrible sales'.  Look at Infamous, it must be selling horrible because only 1% (200,000/20,000,000) of PS3 owners bought that game!  UFC for x-box 360 failed too, only 1% of the install base bought that game!.  By your logic I could claim that Halo, Twilight Princess or just about any other succesful game was actually a failure.

Well Halo 3 sold nearly 10m and there are 30m 360s. 1 out of ever 3 360 owners have halo 3. Thats a pretty good ratio if you ask me.

I was expecting better launch sales and its definitely a game Nintendo fans will buy at some point in time. Either way its a success in my eyes because it couldn't have cost much to develop and it'll probably sell a few million.

You have completly missed my point (or you decided to ignore it).   I said most games, and then I refrenced Halo, along with several other games,  not Halo 3.   We are looking at the first two weeks of sales and declaring the game has bad sales because it has a 'bad ratio'.  But what is a 'good' ratio?

Under your argument a game can be released and in the first week sell a million copies, but it will be a failure because only 2% of the Wii owners bought it (less than 1% if its on the PS2)!   Under your argument, for example, Lego Star Wars:TCS for Wii was an utter failure because it only sold 110,000 units in its first two weeks (The Wii had an install base of about 12 million at the time), so your ratio would put that game at less than 1%.  FAILURE!  But, wait, that game has gone on to sell more than 2.5 million on the Wii alone.  I don't believe anyone would claim that a game that sells 2.5 million copies is a failure-- it doesn't matter how big the install base is.

It sold decent in US but flopped badly in Europe.
Should finish with lifetime sales beetween 2-3M.

This game did bad, and it seems like it does not have good legs. The sales each week are drastically dropping. I don't think it will make it to 500k lifetime sales at this point.

Umm, it's already at nearly 250k units sold after just 3 weeks at retail... it has pretty good legs for a Wii game that doesn't have "Wii" in the title or comes with a plastic accessory packed in.  By the holidays it should have at least 750k under its belt in the Americas alone.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Well its doing piss poor in EU, and its only selling half of what it did its first week in the US.

It just seems like not every classic Nintendo title that is remade on the Wii will be successful.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

No, the sales were amazing, but inFamous' sales sucked.

I was a bit disappointed that they didn't allow you to play as the other boxers. I thought that would have been a real nice twist and had given the game a much better value and longevity. It seems Nintendo just updated the graphics for the boxers, improved the boxer's A.I. and moves and though that was enough. It wasn't. Even the head-to-head Little Mac multiplayer isn't anything special. Nintendo really blew it with this game.
