And CGI would look a lot better than that in HD...

The blood, lighting, and textures all look much more realistic in the in game GoW3 shots.

The over use of bloom in GOW3 makes the graphics less desirable than the CGI.

Looks better to me and it's no surprise. Go play FF7. The CGI in that game looks so dated that the Gamecube can run it in real time I'm sure. Technology+Time=better looking games no need to shit a brick about it.

I will give it to you that they are pretty close at least. But to say that "God of War III is better than CGI!!" seems a bit of an overstatement. It may be better than the specific CGI shown, but there is WAAAAY better CGI out there.

Actually, the images are all really blurry and flat. I'm guessing they had a really bad capture card for these.

Also, I don't get it... the CGI pictures look a lot better. Smoother, cleaner, perfect. It would be nice to compare actually good screen captures at equal resolutions, but that'd be hard given the PS2 wouldn't come close to the resolution of the GoW3 shots....
