Sounds to me like this 'insider source' is the original owner, still not letting this incident go.

have you seen how much the washed up child actor has dragged this thing on? i wouldnt be surprised if this was the case...

Thus it being neglect since that could be the reason for the malfunction and if it were cleaned it might not have caused the malfunction. Unless the tech guy put it in a cabinet with dust and turned the Ps3 on for a while I doubt the tech guy did this. The customer was a washed up child actor probablly trying to get his name in the news. |
I don't know how much money those techs make, but I would be willing to bet it is a decent amount . That said I am sure this fellow wouldn't want to put their job in jeapordy, so this would require a little thought in not getting caught. I work on electronics every day, and if I were going to sabotage something I can assure you it would look innocent. I would turn the thing on and let it do its business for a while.
I haven't done anything like this, but I do know stories of techs doing more work in sabotaging stuff than it would take to actually fix it. And this kind of thing happens a lot more often than one would think and for many different reasons.

damnd - did you read the OP? That's not what this "inside source" who said he was there is saying happened though. He is saying they guy went out for a cigarette picked up dirt and threw it on the system...
Yes, I did read the OP.
I am not saying that we know if this happend or not. Or even if I believe it. But if it did, why is it so hard to think the guy wouldn't cover his tracks? He would have to be a complete moron if he didn't, esp... if he knew they would take photos of it. The guy obviously has to have some training (probably a college degree) to be hired and that means he probably isn't a total idiot.
