Earlier today at 18:26 GMT in Northamtponshire U.K. a PS3 fanboy declared that Forza 3 will be a Gran Turismo Killer

After all the hype Turn 10 are giving it (definitive racing game of this gen said 8 times in one sentence) & after they keep bashing GT

I have come to one conclusion

Forza 3 IS made to be the GRAN TURISMO KILLER

Microsoft have taken all of SONY's "big" franchises, truly only one moster franchise is now exclusive to playstation & thats GRAN TURISMO

with Forza 3 they want to take that away too

henceforth Forza 3 will be known as the GRAN TURISMO KILLER!

Will it succeed or fail, we don't know!

Its a very clever plan. Take all of Playstations BIG 3rd Party Games Now take out its BIG 1st PArty game by launching a game as a rival & viral marketing the hell out of it + remember the phrase "3rd time lucky"

Although this isn't the first time that statements made by random fanboys have ignited the forums with such provocative and foolish statements, the suggestion that Forza 3 be declared the GT killer was met by critiscm from all sides of the fanboy war.  Some had tried to bring an actual discussion to the thread by asking which measurements to use to declare a winner, some suggested sales and other ratings.

The majority where quick to dismiss the idea, suggesting Forza 3 didn't have a prayer, those arguments where followed by sales numbers of previous installments. Its clear that Forza 3 will require a significant boost from previous installments to reach GT's past sales numbers. Some have stated Forza userbase will help outsell GT5 but this is false. Forza is currently on track to be released on the 360 with a userbase of approx. 32 million consoles, which will be quite similar to GT's userbase when its released next year.

The only bright side of the discussion was the realization by a few posters that comparing Forza 3 to GT5 was similar to comparing KZ2 to Halo 3, and how the whole concept of a Game "Killer" is foolish.

 The only way F3 could outsell GT5 is if you count each of its disks as a separate sale. - Steroid

..... unfortunalty it was quickly followed by insults and immature comments, crushing any hope for a reasonable discussion.

Anyway, I don't see this PS3 fanboy calling it a Gran Turismo killer anywhere. Well, calling, yes, but not saying it actually is. And that's not to say I'm saying it is either, or that it is not. Your point? Mostly reminds me of Killzone... Which, as we now know, failed.
