Hmm... Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, Lost odyssey perhaps? I know there are a handful of JRPGs on the 360 out or out shortly...

It is going to take at least another year, though, for any of the next-gen systems to have the kind of library that the PS2 had.

I hate trolls.

Maybe.

Some sound good but we'll see how they turn out in reality.

Same with all the console lineups really.

Well I guess 360 is steppin it up. I'm impressed by lost odyssey really. I can't believe I let an RPG like this go over my head not too often does that happen lol. I thought Eternal Sonata was coming to Ps3 also though. Eitherway both look really impressive.

@darthdevidem

Yea FF is one of my favorite series. White knight story look nice too.

I like what you said. Nintendo does need to get some GOOD 3rd party stuff out there. I do like a lot of the 1st party stuff Wii has though.

I am Daemon. I am the Word.

Ah yes, the old "360 caters to shooters" argument. It really has a lot more games than you think...it's about even with other platforms as far as shooters go.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Wow thanks for reading everybody. So I guess Im not the only one who feel this way. I thought I was just old school or somethin lol. Truthfully though right now I would rather be playing my Genesis, PS1 and Snes than the next gen consoles right now. But I'll give them time b4 Im too harsh on them. :) Just goes to show though... graphics aren't everything.

First of all, awesome avatar (I really need to add mine to vgchartz.)

Yeah, the Genesis/SNES era for me was golden. But remember, the SNES was pretty much guaranteed to be a hit. And Super Mario World is a classic, and everyone had it (since it was a pack in.) I remember flipping through GamePro and noticing reseller ads. SMW was like, $1 to sell, $3 to buy, lol.

But this gen is really weird. Microsoft jumped in early and grabbed an early lead. Nintendo's trying a new control scheme, and they're not aiming for the primary market. Sony's trying a new media format. There are major fears behind each console: X360's games will be the same as the PS1's (but pretty! lol), the Wii won't get enough 3rd party support (plagued the N64 + Gamecube), the PS3 will lose 3rd party support.

My suggestion? Grab a DS. It has games for pretty much any genre you want, it's cheaper than the home consoles, and it'll keep you satisfied until the inital console bloodbath ends.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

Well from what I see on gaming sites. Its not to far from the truth. Most of their top rated games are shooters.  Although I have gained more interest in it after looking at lost odyssey and Eternal Sonata.

So I guess what I meant was 360s big titles all seem to be shooters. The other titles are rated lower and/or get less attention. Because seriously I didn't know lost odyssey existed until like 5 mins ago lol.
