Forums - Nintendo - So Link is right handed in the next Zelda?

Whats the story with Link being left handed? Im not up on the whole mythos.

Tease.

Around the Network

they need an option for wich hand you want to use..
even though I'm right...I wanna be a Lefty for this game

Link should be left-handed..
it's a trademark...like the mastersword..or the green tunic

taking it away is like taking away part of Link

to me anyway...just gimme the option and I won't complain

Who cares if he is right or left handed.... There should be an option.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Yeah, he's probably gonna be right handed again like in the Wii version of TP.
But they should indeed include an option for lefties this time around. And just switch Link's swordhand, not mirror the ENTIRE GAME. Seriously, wtf. :p I still don't understand why Nintendo did that for the Wii version, just to make Link right-handed.

Link was originally ambidextrous, constantly switching which hand he held his sword in, so I don't care what hand he swings his sword in.

I remember a Link to the Past strategy guide offered an amusing "in-world" explanation of this. It was something along the lines of there being a superstition about holding your shield toward Death Mountain.

Of course we know that the true source of that superstition is that the developers... I mean Gods needed to save memory... I mean something, something, mystic something.

I never realized that Link was left handed until people whined about the change in TP Wii.

Surprisingly I still don't care.

rawr, i was pissed about the motorcycle part in MadWorld but this is to toal BS

I'm sure that somehow relates to Zelda, but I'm just not seeing it...

OT: Yeah, he probably will be right handed.  His handedness doesn't bug me in the least, personally.  All the Links are different people, so why do they all need to use the same hand?

1st off, lol, it just sounded funny in my head.

2nd, in the motorcycle part of MadWorld, swinging the wiimote hit someone on the right, and nunchuck hit someone to the left, so i had to make an X with my hands to get used to it.

Judging by the concept art released it looks like Link will be right handed in the next Wii Zelda.

Makes sense I guess since most people hold the Wii Remote in their right hands, but I know purists will hate it, unless they make a Gamecube version (jk) :p

Gamecube Old Play controls Nintendo's next line of games confirmed!
