I don't think making a PSP game and a Wii game are as close as you seem to think. Is their any evidence that PSP games are easily ported to the Wii. It's only happened a few times, perhaps there is a reason.

@ people saying "who would want to play the psp version over the Wii version" and "the psp version might as well not exist". Are you serious? Do you even know the point of having a handheld? Who would pick any handheld version of a game really, if there was an alternative? Except if you're on the go, which is mostly the point of handhelds. I see what you're trying to say but saying that the psp version might as well not exist is a bit silly don't you think? Unless you've made your own Wii motion portable (Wimp):)
But I agree that a lot of the games could be ported over and probably be better games. That doesn't mean the portable version is pointless though.
Also, cats are nice. Dogs are not.
For people who want to play on the go, great there's PSP. I have no problem with that, the more people that can enjoy a game the better.
The "PSP version may as well not exist" is relevant, because if you're a Wii owner, then really what harm is it that some PSP gamers are playing the game too? It's kind of a silly pretense that you'd turn down a perfectly good Metal Gear game or something because of some stupid "rule" that Wii games have to be 100% original or can't exist on the PSP also.
The PSP software market is largely irrelevant in the West anyway. People harp on the Wii for going through droughts but I have friends who haven't touched their PSP since 2005 when they realized it wasn't the second coming of the iPod that Sony hyped it to be.
I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying here but it's really late and I should just go to bed anyway:)

It seems to me that the PSP's architecture is actually closer to the DS, an RISC variant, but i don't know how that relates to Wii's processro or PowerPC structures, so this is all a rather pointless post
:P

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
