Surely he has been mis-interpreted and he means catching the 360 on an average month-to-month sales pattern and not total worldwide sales. That isn't going to happen in 2008 for the whole year, much less MARCH of 2K8...

yeah, I got to doubt it too, I mean, that would mean it would have to sell at the early after release rate of the Wii in order to catch up. And with a lot of their major titles being delayed or not released till next year, i seriously doubt they will be able to do it.

This could mean that they expect to have MGS4 out before March and have sub $300 PS3 in the market. That could be what he is basing his sales figures on. Well, if they have the 8m or so sold by end of this year as I predict, then clearly he is wrong.

They are not MS, the retailers won't let them flood the channel like MS did. They have no upcoming product (MS Vista) that they can use as leverage.

Basically, 8m to consumers and 9.5 to retailers is my guess at end of year. Then maybe 9.5m sold to consumers by March 2008. I will have to recheck my spreadsheet when I get home, but that seems about right off the top of my head.

Unless the PS3 is getting Halo4, its not gonna happen.
