That is Minish Cap and look at the story before Link.

It even tells how Link even started getting the trademark pointy hat and Tunic.


And this game will  be the newly discovred part of the timeline.

The earliest would be the minish-cap. This is quite generally said so. Link did not use the mastersword in this game but rather the pikori-sword. So my guess is that it is set between minis cap and OoT

 

Oh, and the legs are what will become the hilt. Just look at the patron on the legs, it's clearly the hilt and not the blade

No because look at the pic of the sword posted and compare it to the pic of her and the placement of the pendent the shape of her head the cloak sloaping down and how where is legs are at is the skinny lower part of the blade.

She is in the stance as if the sword was in the stone ready to be drawn out.

 

What you suggest is backward.
