seriously people. The conference is less so about presentation, more so about delivering the goods, and the company that did it best this year was most definitely Sony.
-Sony had the GAMES:The Last Guardian, Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, Demon's Soul, Mod Nation Racing, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank ACIT, AGENT the exclusive R* game, Final Fantasy XIV console exclusive as well as a plethora of other stuff for PS3.
Not to forget the PSP with Assassin's Creed:Bloodlines,Fat Princess PSP, Pixel Junk, Dissidia, LBP Portable, Motor Storm AE, Tekken 6, Soul Caliber, Unbound, and the motherload game that had people run out and get a PSP from the beginning, GRAN TURISMO PSP! Also revealed MGS Peace Walker, the true next iteration in the series as stated by kojima.
-Sony unveiled a the PSP GO(while I am not particularly thrilled with it someone will be.)
-Sony crushed the idea of Lost Planet 2 exclusivity during their conference.
-Sony unveiled a working version of their motion controller with a few new tech pieces. I cannot see how people are going gaga over the Natal when the Eyetoy was here first doing the same damn thing. The presentation for the PS3 one really proved that hardcore gamers could have fun with it as well.
-We found out that MGSR was multiplatform title, not a kojima game, and is just a spin off of the series to please MS. This totally killed the thrill of this being presented at MS's conf, making it fall way below the FFXIII announcement, almost to the point of no one caring about it.
The only failing of the Sony conference was it's presentation, because even I must admit to it dragging at a few points. Yet that was mostly because many of the Sony presenters were Japanese and needed translators which caused long awkward pauses. MS did very good in this respect and kept their momentum.
