Pro-Sony predictions have consistently been misleading. I prefer actual facts, and facts are, until now, pro 360, sorry.

Care to elaborate on this highly inaccurate post ?.

Sorry, there's nothing inaccurate in my post. You must have misplaced your comment.

God i hate fanboys, almost as much as they hate facts

Is the Wii maxed out yet? Considering how it is selling at this time, maybe we should all tremble in fear once it maxes out its specs.

Anyhow, back in my day, we would end up WISHING we had graphics that approximates what we get now on the PS3 and 360.

I don't think it's max out, PS3 definitely isn't but I have to say neither is 360.

EA: 360 maxed out, PlayStation3 isn't

Soderlund's comments came during E3, as he spoke to OXM about Microsoft's E3 presence.

"I like the Natal," he says. "That's cool. It's an interesting device, so I'm truly impressed by Xbox. It's my personal favourite console... I think Microsoft is on a roll right now. They're doing really well. If I was Sony, I would have a headache, to be honest."

However, he then goes on to say "Sony has a lot of good games this year. If you go to their booth, there's a very consistent, high quality product line-up and that will help them. I do think that we'll see developers inside the organisation getting to understand the PS3 better and I think that we're getting more power out of PS3 right now... I think that we've maxed out the 360 but we haven't maxed out the PS3."

Do you guys agree?

Discuss.

I guess you haven't been here very long. If you were, you'd know that everyone on VGC are experts on the consoles and know when a system is maxed out (without even developing for the system), and that developers don't know shit (who have been developing for the consoles for years). Add in a little bit of "When was the last time they made a good game?" and then NO developer has any credibility, because the quality of a game is subjective. Add a dash of "I think" and "there's no way they're right", then VGC members actually become the developers themselves!

So of course they don't agree

@selnor How do you know those games *aren't* pushing the 360? And secondly....no. Uncharted 2 and Heavy is all I have to say

Major LOL. Uncharted 2? KZ2 looks beter than Uncharted 2. And Heavy Rain is a mix. Sometimes it looks great ( particualrly indoors ) but outdoors it's pretty avarage. Also main characters are highly detailed, but others are meh. Niether game gets my vote for E3.

Best graphics at E3 IMO were,

AC2

Alan Wake

Forza 3

Lost Planet 2

Dirt 2

Splinter Cell Conviction and Uncharted 2 look like great games but both graphically are pipped by the above.

Has anyone got actual in game screenshots/gameplay footage of the XBOX 360 version of alan wake , does anyone even know what alan wake is about ? . It's a sad state of affairs when fanboys try to tout games that they have no clue about as graphical powerhouses.

Sony has proven consistently that the PS3 is a graphical powerhouse , it's no suprise to me that the industr is begining to confirm this , it has however been known for a long time that the PS3 graphicaly suprases it's rival . Uncharted , GT5:P , Ratchet and Clank etc ( I could go on) have consistently proven the PS3's graphical superiority.

Considering that the PS3 is already prooven to be ahead of the 360 ( Killzone 2) it'll be interesting to see the results of it pulling further ahead ( Heavy Rain , Uncharted 2 ?)

Did you even watch E3? M$ 360 gameplay demo at E3 right Here. Sorry bout Youtube quality, but Gametrailers is down right now.

TBH I didn't think MS's conference were worth watching so I missed this . Regardless , the PS3 has constantly and consistently raised the graphical bar with MS arguably always trying to keep up. Sony raised the bar noticably with Uncharted and then Killzone 2 , but there's been a series of graphical powerhouses in between (MGS4 , Ratchet and Clank, GT5:P all PS3 exclusive) , the XBOX 360 does has some worthy mentions (Gears Of War 2 , Fable maybe) but not nearly as many as the PS3.

So even if it is the case that Alan Wake trumps anything on the PS3 ( which is doubted) the graphicaly quality of the overall PS3 libary trumps that of the 360's ( and let's not even get onto the overall quality of the games) . I can look forward to draw dropping graphics 9/10 times when I pick up a PS3 exclusive game.

But it doesn't stop there , Sony is continuing to punish Microsoft with an onslaught of high end , blockbuster , graphical beasts . Heavy Rain , GT5 , God Of War 3, Uncharted 2 and the only name your able to bring up is "Alan Wake".

I'm fine with the comment the 360 is maxed out... The Wii was max'd the day it shipped.

Although graphics and processing are important, it is gameplay that rules the day. The question I have, "are the gameplay experiences max'd on 360?". To me the answer to this question is no. To date, there are just as many games that run better on 360 then run better on PS3...

Most consumers don't care about processing power. They care about price, gameplay, and/or simplicity. None of those are solely to do with the power of the console.

Your claiming the Uncharted 2 (developed by one of the best developers on the planet , Naughty Dog) is inferior to multi-platform Assasins Creed 2 ?

No....it's not a swap to Uncharted is better than all. It just looks better than the aformentioned games used in the defense of the 360. KZ2 still murks anything and everything, so it still stands that KZ2 > all
