If you knew more about PCs you would realize that it is not just the graphics processor, the PS3 is outmatched in every capacity, and Sony simply can't prove me wrong.
Getting into a "Dick Measuring contest" with the PS3 vs the PC is simply not a competition the PS3 can win; the PS3 is essentially a "young boy who hasn't hit puberty" and the PC is "A pornstar named Tripod" ...

Maybe, but I doubt it ...
The question is, where would the value be in keeping their next generation system at such a low performance range?
The Wii is lower power because:
- HDTV adoption is low and will remain in the minority for most of the generation; this means that a large portion of any additional processing power they included would be wasted for the average consumer.
- Their competition's systems are amazingly expensive to manufacture and for the consumer; this means that their competition has priced themselves out of the market of the average consumer and it will take years before the systems approach a mass market price.
- Third party developers have not built the tools and do not have to processes in place to produce high quality graphically intense games for an affordable price; it will take most of the generation for middleware developers to produce standard asset libraries and to build the necessary tools to greatly reduce the man power to make these games.
- Nintendo was not certain the Wii was going to be a success and wanted to keep the systems' research and development costs down, software development costs down, and ensure that their system was affordable to consumers.
I seriously doubt that these factors will be in place (at the same level) in the next generation.
I'm not saying that their next generation system will be bleeding edge technology, it will probably just be the most powerful system they can afford to produce and sell for $200 to $300 off the bat at little or no loss; this would certainly be more powerful than the PS3 but may not be as powerful as the PS4.
