These numbers are crazy, i wonder how long they will continue for.

Sony is doomed doomed lolz.

I wish us Americans didn't have to wait for Japanese games. At least Kojima is releasing everything at the same time. PSP numbers are pretty sick by the way. Maybe Dance Dance Revolution will help Wii numbers? I think the DDR fad is kind of over though.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. The Wii and DS are still in their slump due to it being a slow time of the year. It just looks like they're doing worse than the other consoles, because every other console is doing better than normal. The PSP is having an insane spike with the release of a new model, and what is probably its biggest game yet as far as Japan is concerned. The PS3 is up from where it was previously, but in all honestly its earlier sales were pretty catastrophic. The 360... well it seems to be doing as well as usual. =P

Seriously, we have this same discussion every week when Japanese data of any kind is released. I'll join the worried crowd when the Wii isn't selling almost twice as much as the other next-gen consoles combined, or if Super Mario Galaxy and the other first party hits don't seriously improve sales. Remember, it's been a while since the last Wii games Japan cares about.

The PSP is doing incredibly well, no way around it. I was expecting FF7:CC to go down fast, and that the main boost from PSP Slim was shown in last weeks sales, but turns out I was wrong on both. Here I thought the PSP was dead in Japan, but now I find myself pondering if I should get one myself.

seriously a huge week for PSP, but that's how the japanese roll. They satisfy a huge chunk of the demand on day 1. We don't really know how successful it is til we see where demand levels out at.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

300k for any system is insane....especially during what is supposed to be a lull in sales. I'd be WAY surprised if 360 sells like that even with Halo 3 out.

The numbers on the front page agree with him pretty consistently as do other numbers I have seen.
