"Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII will be released on the European PlayStation Store today. Hooray!

We thought this may be restricted to the US after Sony announced the PSN version during its E3 press conference on Tuesday night.

There's no word on price, but only the most extortionate of tags could dissuade us.

FFVII is held aloft by rat-punchers worldwide as an extraordinary RPG. The game follows Cloud on his quest to battle bad person Sephrioth, introducing a healthy supporting cast along the way.

So I will be playing FF VII for the first time this evening... or maybe I will save it for when I play on my PSP, PS1 graphics are just so poor when compared to PS3 games, they don't look so bad on PSP

@ hapimeses, you could play on your PSP by sticking the game in your PS3 and then using remote play, but of course then you have to change discs remotely
