I strongly believe that NSMB wii will have just as awesome sales as mario kart wii. So I predict NSMB wii will outsell super mario galaxy (1 and 2) by a large margin.

And likely NSMB will have the longer legs, SMG being more blockbuster style. (still long legs compared to HD blockbusters) |
It tracks about even with the big guns... Halo 3 does a bit better, but even a main Mario game has problems keeping up with Halo... it really shows how far Halo has come. I'm tons of interested in the 2D game, but MG2 can suck it for all I care... 2D Mario FTW... now all we need is a new 2D Sonic that is awesome

Depends. Was this his clever way of saying that a new Super Mario Bros. would cause erections? If so, I think he was dead on.
I'm thinking it will be like MK Wii. And yes, it will outsell Galaxy and galaxy 2..probabll combined...Another thing is when I visited Malstroms site he had the commercial for Mario Bros 3, like the night before Nintendo's conference, I was puzzled at first but then it hit me, he called it.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

To be fair there was that leak in the form of a semi tranparent curtain. Then everyone knew there was New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Ah that slip up didn't even register with me, thanks for pointing that out. But I do recall reading Mal's and he wrote something along the lines of if Wii received a NSMB it would be a great move from Nintendo, and this was a good month or so ago.

@Arius Dion
Yeah, that true but he didn't know Nintendo would do it. Only that they should. (His proof was the sales of NSMB over Galaxy.)

Well, you read about it in the OP...

LoL Alter your right, but I was talking about a different article of his, Liquid was refering to the article I was describing.

I see that a lot of people agree with Malstrom, but I'm not seeing a lot of numbers.
What do you guys think? More than 12 million?
