They've already distributed 3.5+ million copies of their "demo."  What they are doing with GT5 right now is filling out the roster and maybe tweaking the graphics a little bit, but we already know the game itself works and looks fantastic.

I think everyone knows how year-old ports of 360 games sell...

I really don't understand Sony's PS3 strategy. They need the games hardest of all, especially if there won't be a pricecut, but now there are no really big exclusive system sellers this holiday.

Sure Uncharted 2 is big, but the fanbase is already on PS3. Same for Ratchet and Clank and I simply don't see MAG being anywhere near as big as Killzone 2.

Halo: ODST, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Forza 3 and Left4Dead 2 (Mass Effect 2?) pretty much wipe the floor with PS3's exclusive line-up for holiday 2009.

2010 will be insane for PS3 though, with GT5 AND GoW3 AND Trico.

They showed a short teaser trailer for gt5. If it was releasing this year , it would have had at least a gameplay trailer, or what was expected, a gameplay demo. I want GT5 to come out this year , but its  not so Im going to have to wait.

Heavy rain is confirmed for next year (maybe early 2010 with the way the guy was wording it).

MS quite honestly turned the tables on sony when it seemed impossible.

I just checked a couple of media blogs of the Sony event. No one mentioned that Sony said MAG is coming this year, well at least that I could find.

looks like Sony is really dependent on the PSP this year to bring in the Cash
