The Sony motion wand definitely lowered it against the others. When the crowd is laughing at the presenters failure to use the tech, that's a bad sign

actually it isnt really his failure at all. The tech is spot on to real life. It is just kind of hard to hit a ball that drops randomly from the air if your not very experienced. The entire demo was perfect.

I played tennis in HS for a year. Its rough to serve and serve well. I've seen even the best players screw up and miss the ball completely even after they threw the ball into the air or tried bounce hitting it.

uhh... even people who play tennis every now and then will NEVER bounce/ throw a ball and completely miss it... occasionally they might shank it, yes, but no one with decent co-ordination will completely miss a ball with a tennis racquet.

ehh.. I think most of the time it was a nervous thing because their swings were typically delayed and they seemed to be looking out into space. Might have been the competitions and having their parents watch them play.

Goods games are coming on all systems...that's all that matters, right?

Yeah, gamers won today. All the other BS about which company "won" is stupid to argue about, because almost everyone will say that their preferred console maker won.

Well said.

I agree with you even though i know so many people just aren't listening.

I'd say MS and Nintendo tied it with both having their good and bad moments, with Sony in a semi-distant 2nd.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Great stuff all around but for me the real winner is Uncharted 2 and PS3 . Game seriously kicks ass. Microsoft has better 'show' with all the celebrities and another 'stolen' exclusive but despite presence of some great games /Alan Wake, Conviction, Forza3/ for me Sony wins in the content department.

I didn't follow Nintendo conference at all.

Right now it's all about your personal choices. Generally speaking E3 at it's best.

I think there are probably a few glitches that will be worked on over the next year but I honestly think Sony weren't going to announce this until later but MS revealed theirs so Sony felt obligated to showcase theirs. Otherwise, I think the person wouldn't have been as nervous and there would have been Heavy Rain and Ratchet demos shown.

That actually makes PERFECT sense and explains a lot! the controller still not the final design, the presenter of the motion control being very nervous, the tech demos being very basic (still good though) and not that many details about it, it wasn't ready to be shown but sony had no choice after ms's announcement.....

Has anyne at E3 shown a "prototype" before? sony did with the motion control, odd....

I can say that I saw items that interested me in all the conferences.

M$ won even if it was by a small margin. They announced the most Epic games and the most interesting new technology.

Long Live SHIO!
