Well because they wanted to take XI to the next gen, and thought it would be better to just make a new game, and so it is the XI team making this new game.
The big question is why they are main series games, it is annoying that I will have X, XII, XIII and then another gap to XV.... but anyway
I found KOTORO just as annoying, but oh well

lol, everybody was all excited, and then the "online" popped up and my heart dropped. It was an epic fail, imo. They saved the subtitle to try to make it more exciting. Ugh.

It's coming to the PC, is multiplatform, and SE said they are looking at "other platforms" as well, so unless that platform is the Wii, this is a timed console exclusive, which isn't exactly impressive for a "megaton"
Especially considering this is a MMORPG, and not a JRPG.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a spinoff...but FFVXIII, while possibly excellent, is no more a member of the main series than FF:Tactics is.
I wish VersesXIII was FFXIV, and the online FF game just didn't exist.

He was referring to Sony fans, and at the same time, using a pun, to complement their gamespot names, by inferring that they could be milked like real cows, in this case, milked referring to "the taking of money" and not actual milking, but it had a cute double meaning.

My jaw was on the floor when we first saw that opening scene after the writing, but then it said online.... but I did suspect MMO
