Forums - Nintendo - Finger pulse WHAT???

I think their next add-on should be an electro-shock machine. Lets go one step beyond rumble, and physically electrocute the player.

Then we can combine the two, and have a game where you have to remain calm while your Wii is trash talking you, and electrocuting you. Good for anger management classes.

In all seriousness though, while an odd choice, there certainly is some good (if highly specific) gameplay potential in this. I suppose it might be more of a Japanese thing, with their whole blood type personality thing. All that being said, if Nintendo can make a game that does a good job of relaxing you, I'd be damn happy, I always feel on edge. :)

I wonder what Malstrom will make of this, No doubt he'll make this the new step in the Nintendo domination plan but, I don't see any direct uses. Heart-impact might be one but, let's save it for the horror gam....

Eternal Darkness 2 confirmed!!

Any pics? i don't understand what you guys talking about. :X

They mentioned it in SMG2 to adjust the pace of the game according to your "fear" (although fear and mario doesn't really go in the same sentence).
I think it's just something, to at least seem 'hardcore-ish', but secretly intended to be utilized in many 'non-game-ish' ways

Yeah I didn't quite get what that device was about either. The first thing I thought when I saw it was 'God, not ANOTHER attachment'. It... measures your heartrate, but how they'd implement that into games is beyond me...

Maybe it's a software that able to detect nervous from you Wii remote+Nunchuck movement/characters control and decided that you feel that part is too hard and then the game'll decrease the difficulty.(Just guessing.) :D

I see many uses for this - not the least being the Horror genre - and I look forward to what Nintendo will come up with.

That said, I see this being used mainly in relaxation games, as Iwata mentioned, and I expect it to be fairly limited technologically, but still, I'm surprised at how poorly people seem to be able to comprehend the possibilities of these devices.

Hmmm a new rumble pak or a new 32X? We shall see.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Or the other way around. If your relaxed, it'll increase the difficulty. Who knows, that might come in handy for the next Zelda. I haven't felt my heart race during a Zelda-sequence since the Ganondorf fight in Ocarina of Time
