That's your proof of bias? Goodness me. Try harder next time.

I do believe he said "Latest evidence", implying he feels there is more to it than just this example. Perhaps we should ask him for more examples before we write him off?

I judge games by the gameplay. Not nice frilly "extra feature"

And, at it's core, Halo 3 IS simply a dual analog FPS, with a lot of awesome new stuff. Been done (minus the cool extras) pretty much just as well before.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Some of those nice frilly extra features are going to be extremely important to a community based online game like Halo 3.  Seriously if you don't wish to give those features the credit they deserve then how are you going to expect anyone to believe you're not biased (and even more so than what you're claiming Gamespot to be)?

So, Legend votes that the online features make it a better game. Fair enough. Making screen shots easier is O.K!

My concern is: Will Halo 3 brings more Red Vs. Blue episodes?

See Ya George.

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

That is why we like to call them Microspot.

No doubt they are biased against Nintendo, always have been. Having involvement with Microsoft means they are inclined to rate their games higher. IGN actually gave Bioshock a higher score and Metroid Prime 3 a 9.5.

Yet GS have MP3 a 8.5 and Bioshock a 9.0, two games release close to Halo 3 which threatened to take Game of the Year off it.

The actual widely perceived GameSpot bias is that they are MS fanbois.

Oops, Freestyler beat me to it.

And if they give Galaxy or SSBB a 10 what then, will you still call them Microspot?

Personally I thought the MP3 review seemed low but hey, these are people opinions and they arent set in stone.
Just use Gamerankings or Metacritic (unless the game only has a few reviews) for your rankings and any bias pretty much disappears.

That won't happen since they refuse to give a Wii game a 10 in graphics (if Galaxy does not get a 10 for Graphics for a Wii game then they are retarded). Plus with their new system, it allows them to hide the scores for each catergory they rate the game. Those who went to the site or who are members were bombarded with Halo advertising.

They always have launch events for big name 360 games on GS but none for the Wii (including MP3).

Gamespot couldn't figure out that MP3 had an advanced control setting.

They also gave Warioware a 9.1.

Seriously, if you actually want a useful review of a Wii game, go to IGN or Gametrailers. Those guys actually play their Wiis, and not just when paid to review games on them.

It does seem a bit like double standards, but we should remember that Halo 3 has the whole multiplayer thing going for it, and the campaigns in both games are roughly as long. The styles are also very different, and Halo's hype is orders of magnitude above Metroid's.

A point of difference is far from outrageous, but their reasons sound very fishy to me. I can't be bothered to read both reviews, so I'll just assume they're slightly out of context. =/
