I do believe he said "Latest evidence", implying he feels there is more to it than just this example. Perhaps we should ask him for more examples before we write him off?

And, at it's core, Halo 3 IS simply a dual analog FPS, with a lot of awesome new stuff. Been done (minus the cool extras) pretty much just as well before. 

Some of those nice frilly extra features are going to be extremely important to a community based online game like Halo 3.  Seriously if you don't wish to give those features the credit they deserve then how are you going to expect anyone to believe you're not biased (and even more so than what you're claiming Gamespot to be)?
