That is why we like to call them Microspot.
No doubt they are biased against Nintendo, always have been. Having involvement with Microsoft means they are inclined to rate their games higher. IGN actually gave Bioshock a higher score and Metroid Prime 3 a 9.5.
Yet GS have MP3 a 8.5 and Bioshock a 9.0, two games release close to Halo 3 which threatened to take Game of the Year off it.
