IT LOOKS SICKK!! But two things are preventing me from getting this game.

1. Motion+ exclusive. I am not planning to get Motion+.

2. No Online Multiplayer. After the awesome multiplayer made by The Conduit, why can't Ubisoft support it?

1. It comes bundled with it.

2. There is no multiplayer at all, and in case you forgot, Conduit built up on years of established controls, while this is a new thing the team wants to get right first.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

10:30 in looks like Devil May Cry in first person.

Hot damn.

Graphics and animation are amazing. That fire is incredible.

Agreed.

Wow, looking so good like everyone said. :D

I must admit I whispered out a muffled "wow" when the swordsman hit the enemy up into the air, jumped up, and smashed him back down... while shooting at him the whole time.

I'm sorry, but that's just too cool.

(Can't wait)

Color me hyped. And that doesn't happen often nowadays.

Now I have two new shooters to buy.

Looks great. The graphics are very well themed. It definitely graphically a classically core game. Red Steel 2 definitely benefits from the WM+. The accurate positional makes it very cool. The blended game play, the "some" exploration. The target dash for air is nifty.

There is something though that he mentiones that is unfortunate. Some of the things that they are doing could have already been done with the plain Wiiremote. Directional slash, power of slash, safe cracking, accurate slashing.

Directional Slash
Done by knowing last angle, then measuring current directional velocity.

Power of Slash
Since the Wiiremote is almost always pointing towards the TV. You can judge power by the rate the pointer LED reading move. This also determine where the remote is too.

Accurate Slash
Judged by what the pointer is pointing at when moving.

Parrying
once again velocity of direction with duration of direction.

Safe Cracking
That's just tilt. The tilt has -70 to +70(apx reported by Glovepie)

This game could have been without the WM+, but I suspect it does make it a bit better. It does make it easier to incorporate.

I hope this game won't suffer repatition though.

Also one last note. The ariel dash shown has LOTS of potential for anime action. Imagine someone getting knocked into the air, then you follow up. What if he evades and power blows you off into a different direction, but not down. Then he follows you, but you evade, you counter and he evades. You both strike and both send each other in oppoasing directions. With no move to the other person able by both. You would both land facing each other at a distance. Talk about total awesome.

@soriku, btw for today you are my god. Thank you for the embedding.
