Because...losing the MGS franchise as an exclusive to your brand is bigger than one game...obviously. Maybe I should have said "blow to the playstation brand"
Also, the blow came in more than just MGS. It was also due to a strong lineup of games from MS, like L4D2, and Crackdown 2, as well as some interesting new control stuff that most people(Sony fans excluded) liked.
Again, am I wrong, if so how.

ergh I have a xbox 360.....look you seem to be sounding to me like you "want" to insult PS3, especially after you generalized my response.
I don't see how MGS:R will sell more 360's than PS3's......than NATAL will
hence NATAL is a blow to PS3.....not MGS:R....thats all dude...peace :)
Ehm... MGS was never an exclusive series. Have you not heard of MGS Substance or Twin Snakes?
Mainline games have been on different platforms, and MGS 3 and 4 were PS exclusive, even after a multiplat MGS 2. thread fail.
Why are people giving themselves low blows, even now? I thought E3 was a celebration of gaming and all innovations as a whole.

Look at your thread title before you assume things, and ofcourse I know reporters dont care if I think your a fanboy..
Also news flash, the metal gear solid franchise has NEVER been exclusive to any platform to begin with.
If the MGS game is exclusive then I would describe it as an small blow. The games that announed today are mostly sequels. If potential PS3 buyers didn't wanted to get a Xbox 360 for left4dead/crackdown and Forza 2 I don't see them getting a Xbox 360 for Left4Dead 2/Crackdown 2 and Forza 3. Those games are big announcements for Xbox 360 owners like me who loved those games.
FFXIII was a huge blow but what we saw today not really. To make a significant blow they had to announce a franchise that was on PS2 and would be exclusive on Xbox 360 like Tekken 6/Kingdom Hearts 3.

Rising is a spin-off. Final Fantasy Versus XIII is a completely seperate game from Final Fantasy XIII. There's a difference.
Natal won't be big unless people buy it, and people won't buy it without compelling software and a mass-market pricing strategy. Based on what we were shown during the E3 conference and the suggested $200 price, Natel has neither.
Also, a game needs gameplay in order to be PLAYING B3YOND. lol
