Forums - Microsoft - Rate Microsofts Conference

9/10 for me. At first I was disappointed because they keep showing multi-platform stuff. After that pure win.
Splinter cell, Alan Wake, Left4dead, EPIC game (forgot the name) and the mo-cam? full body motion FTW!. MGSR is just like a cherry on the ice cream. Even without it MS had a fantastic E3. Unlike last E3.
Natal was MEH for me sorry.

I really hope Nintendo or Sony will step up this year and make it a GREAT E3. But with all the announcements Sony leaked, I don't know what they are going to do. Lets hope they prove us wrong.

Seriously, do you have no concept of the difference between the EyeToy and Project Natal?

I have no hate for the EyeToy, but the fundamental gesture recognition the EyeToy has is NOT full body, 3D space recognition.  The eye toy also  does not claim to have face and voice recognition abilities (not voice command, voice recognition).  You can compare the two right now to marginalize the importance of Project Natal if you'd like, but they are not as similar as you'd have everyone believe.

Holy shit, It can recognize my legs too instead of just my upper body? Wow, Amazing.

It was the same thing, they even drew a picture and gave it to the kid in the Natal demo, which was the exact same thing they did in Eyetoy demo.

If the Eyetoy can recognize your movements in the same way that Natal does (and it does) theres no stopping it from doing the same things Natal does, instead of just playing with some strange monkey thing.

10/10

I'm not sure what else they could do. They are offering sequels to some of their own franchises while finding ways to chisel away from both of their main competitors.

 Revolutionary tech camera.

Seriously, has nobody seen Eyetoy before?

It's the same damn thing without voice recognition, and hell, they might announce voice recognition for it at this E3. Natal is nothing innovative or revolutionary.

No it is not.  The Eyetoy can not recognize depth.  Natal can.  The Natal has 3 camereas used to sense depth.  It's like the IR receive on a wii except instead of processing the location of the IR light, it is processing every limb of your body.

This is innovative tech based on the 3DV which was aquired by Microsoft.  Hell, there's demonstrations already out there from Ars Technica and Engadget.  All had very positive responses.

I would give a 8.8/10

not really because of the content but because they generated hype :

missleading "MGS5" exclusivity
timed MW2 exclusivity
FFXIII demo
project Natal

quite good to my eyes

What do you mean libellule? In what way was timed MW2 exclusivity (?) and FF13 demo creating hype?

9/10

BIG surprises: Left 4 Dead 2, Halo:Reach
- never saw that coming

small surprises: MGS:R, Crackdown 2
- I knew something about a Crackdown 1.5, but a true sequel is even better
- Somehow I'm not surprised by a MGS title on the 360, but it's nice to see that Raiden is the main character. (Obviously not exclusive)

other nice informations: Forza 3, Halo 3:ODST, Alan Wake, FFXIII

won't comment anything about the new NXE features or NATAL.

Things I expected but weren't shown: Mass Effect 2 (No big deal. I guess it will be at EA's conference), Halo Chronicles (probably dead)

I thought we all knew about Halo Rech already

Maybe I missed something because I lived 2 months without internet, but I read something about Halo:Reach only 20 minutes before their conference started in the "News" section on xbox360achievements.org.

Hell, I give the conference a 10.  Lots of good games and lots of good features.  Last year had Netflix, this year I'm psyched about last.fm.  I couldn't be more pleased about that!

It's really funny watching all you guys with Sony PSN tag rate this conference 7.

Seriously, this is Xbox 360 Conference. IF you are fans of 360, then you will be EXCITED for Halo, L4D and Crackdown.

Showing those three plus new Halo:Reach, Forza3 (cockpit view included for the hater) is more than enough to make this conference a 9 for any 360 fanboys. MGS on 360 and release date and FF13 running smoothly on 360 built is just icing on our big green cake.

Go take your hate somwhere else or wait for Sony conference which I am sure will be just as exciting. I can't wait to finally see PSP GT:Mobile and not to mention GT5 the full game.

7/10, average.

Natal, although a very cool piece of technology, doesn't fit in the gaming world. It's just too limiting to have anything but mini games released for it, and it's been done before several times they touted it as one of the most innovative pieces of technology of all time, the way i saw it was "Look here is the eye toy, only you can move slightly forward now and it recognizes your voice!".

Some exclusives announced, even though all of them were sequels to (in my opinion) slightly above average games.

MGS on 360 is nice, though expected, one less reason for me to buy a PS3 (list is getting short now).

Overall no real surprises for me.

They kept the trash talking to a minimum, outside of a few obvious jabs at Nintendo, which is always good.

We'll see what the other companies bring to the table.
