Forums - Sony - Sony screwed up Konami's countdown timer??

Damm dudes. This is just marketing at work. The entire web is filled with "Sony this, Sony that" and tons off people will now look to the E3 conference as curiosity has been peaked. There is no leak, this is just a part of creative marketing.

PSN name: Gazz1979 (feel free to add me, but please put your Vgchartz name in the message!)

If Sony actually unintentionally released that Qore episode, they made the mother of all blunders.

Im going with Leonidus on this one, I think it had to have been intentional.

All these leaks just don't make sense otherwise, unless of course Sony is simply incapable of keeping secrets.

The only reason why I believe it could be a leak is the interview. They do not really talk details that much, don't show any gameplay from unannounced titles, don't talk about price, or what existing users are going to do with their UMDs

It was intentional, Sony want people to believe they have nothing new and surprising left for E3. Which they do, of course.

It does seem unfortunate if the MGS psp leak was meant for e3.
Imagine if they showed the new psp then all of a sudden Snake appeared and you wasn't expecting that?

That as well as footage of the GT game would increase the impact of the psp go announcement but now we are expecting to see the go MGS and GT.
Not really as huge an announcement as it could have been.

Whoever released the Qore footage better hope he doesn't work for Sony and doesn't get found out.

Maybe the Quore episode was supposed to be a taster and to lure interested people into watching Sony's conference. Who knows?

I think Im probably right in saying that this was an intentional leak, and I think you are probably right in saying that all the element of surprise has been taken away from Sony's actual conference.

I think the 'creative marketing' comment was very good Btw

I could believe it's a leak. For example: they could 'accidentally' show MG on PSP, making it appear to be the big release, dampening anticipation, then have the big reveal later where it's actually two linked MG games for PSP and PS3. Then again, it could also be someone being a moron at Sony.

Both seem as likely to me (leak and no leak; moron, no moron).

It was not a leak, and even tough MGS could be going to the PSP I doubt that it will be the only Kojima announcement ;) It was an official Quore magazine, and I doubt that trhey leaked it whitout Sony knowing. With all these " leaks" I cant wait to see the real announcements ;)

^ i think you're giving people too much credit...

the leaks around sony's e3 are pretty bad this year so im relly doubtful of a massive surprise..

also you can be that if kojima had a countdown for two game announcements, he wouldnt have wanted either of them leaked beforehand, it just lessens the impact....

so yeah, sony screwed up.

Oh come on. So a Sony employee see's all his pals fly out to E3 to show off their conference, he must know the PSP is a main talking point of the show. He then gets informed by Sony HQ to release an episode of Quore (before its usual release) and it just happens to contain all the leaks.

Me thinks Not

So you guys think that an episode of Qore is put onto PlayStation Network without a single person reviewing over the content? They had a 6 minute feature on PSPGO and you guys are trying to tell me it was an accidental leak?

Sony will announce a new PS3 metal gear right after microsoft's conference, and then expect a megaton for there e3..

Im so sure of it, if not then who knows, but the countdown ends at microsoft's conference.
