If you look at those silly metacritic figures, Gears of War has a higher score that Gears of War 2. According to all you 360 fans who take metacritic numbers as the law, It obviously and factually did not live up to its previous installment and therefore did not deliver.

So after claiming that all these games lived up to their hype, the 'facts' show otherwise.

 

 

All 'we' Xbox 360 fans don't share your wacky belief system. Heres an analogy for you.

A truck company delivers 5 boxes of win(e) in one delivery and four boxes of win(e) in the next.

A different truck company delivered 1 box of win(e) in one delivery and four boxes of win(e) in the next.

Which truck company delivered the most win(e)?

 

 

Yes, so Gears 1 delivered more win(e) than Gears 2, therefore Gears 2 didn't live up to it's hype that it recieved from its previous installment.

Also, I didn't tar all you 360 fans with the same brush like you are trying to make out. I clearly specified it to all the 360 fans 'who take metacritic numbers as the law'

Even for people who take metacritic as the law of the land it still doesn't make for a significant difference between Gears 1 and 2. Its not even statistically significant.

I know, just like there is a insignificant gap between Halo 3 and Killzone 2.

Yes very insignificant....Called me biased but I think Halo 3 has the edge no matter how insignificant it might be....I mean really..Killzone2 has like 4 colors total...Halo 3 has six

PS2 delivered more win(e) than the PS3

There for the PS3 delivers almost no win(e)....

This game is easy...but not very fun....

Metacritic dosen't review consoles.

You dont need metacritics to know that....



N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

How the hell can a game be over-hyped after almost two years on the market?

If it was overhyped people would just stop playing it and buying it as they did gta 4 but no it still is no.1 on xbl and is still a selling force which is phenomenal.

If you dont like it thats fine because no game is liked by everyone , but if you say its over hyped you will have close to 10 million people disagreeing with you and get a mouthful from the millions playing everyday online.

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

No, I am a gamer, I just don't buy into overhyped games and the PS3 has better counterparts.

I'd take Killzone 2 over any Halo game.

I'd take Uncharted over any Gears of War game.

I'd take anything over any Mass Effect game, I hate RPG's.

It would be a big thing if they announce Halo 4 and Gears 3 for 360 in 2010. But, if they do that, what are they going to have to move Nextbox? It will be at least as expensive as the 360 was at its launch and Halo and Gears are Microsoft's biggest gaming properties. Microsoft doesn't really have anything else big enough to move a new console other than those games.

And if Halo 4 and Gears 3 come to the 360 burn out will start to set in for a 5th or 4th installment of either series on Nextbox as it does in almost all entertainment series. See how the last three Star Wars films are generally not considered to be in the same league as the first three, how the last Spider-Man film turn ed into a groaner for many fans towards the end, and much the same with Tim Burton's Batman film series and many more.
